Sunday Scramble: LIVE from 11:30a-1p ET

November 29 2009 No Commented

Bling (10:47) – We may be live at 11:30, but the blogging starts now as the bosses sleep in.

Bling (10:51) – Getting some older news out of the way….Ben Roethlisberger is out. Downgrade all Steelers who are now weak plays against the Ravens defense.

Bling (10:53) – Albert Haynesworth is expected to be inactive again this week. The Redskins have allowed 5.4 yards per carry of the last five games. This doesn’t help. Give a bump in value to L. McCoy and cross your fingers that Andy Reid remembers he is allowed to run the ball.

Bling (10:57) – Laveranues Coles is expected to start today after missing practice earlier in the week.  Consider him a strong No. 3 WR against the Browns.

Bling (10:59) – Steve Wyche is reporting that Michael Turner will start. He has a great match-up against the Bucs.

Bling (11:01) – Dwight Freeney didn’t travel with the Colts and will miss this week’s game against the Texans.

Bling (11:02) – Already seeing a couple of reports that Cedric Benson is expected to start. I’ll get you more info as it comes, but he has a great match-up against the Browns. If he does play I wouldn’t be surprised to see the team pull the plug on him quickly if they get a decent lead.

Bling (11:07) – Steve Smith (Panthers) is expected to play today, but the team wants to test him during warm-ups. Jonathan Stewart is also expected to start. More news as it comes.

Bling (11:11) – Adam Schefter reporting that Charlie Weis is telling people that NFl teams have already contacted him about offensive coordinator positions.

Bling (11:20)  – S. Jackson is a game time decision this week. He missed three straight practices, including Friday. Samkon Gado is reported to be next in line if Jackson can’t go.

Bling (11:23) – Justin Gage will miss another start this week. Kenny Britt has done well filling in, but the Titans passing game has been more focused on the RB/TE positions.

Bling (11:25) - Eli Manning isn’t getting any healthier.

A recent MRI on Manning’s foot revealed the stress reaction in the cuboid bone, which makes Manning susceptible to a stress fracture that could end his 2009 season.

Bling (11:40) – Julius Jones is inactive this week.

Bling (11:42) – Cedric Benson is inactive this week. Bernard Scott is a must start against the Browns defense.

Bling (11:43) – Steven Jackson is listed as active. Gado owners everywhere weep.

Bling (11:44) – Michael Turner is listed as active.  He has a great match-up, but how many carries he will get has to be a concern.

Bling (11:46) – J. Norwoord is also active this week. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of a RBBC this week than in previous weeks.

Bling (11:48) – I mentioned this earlier, but Steve Smith (Panthers) is active today. However, he will likely be facing off against Revis. In other words, you don’t want to be counting on Smith as a No. 1 this week.

Bling (11:50) – Catching up with some insight on things I already reported….with J. Jones out J. Forsett makes a decent No. 2 RB especially in PPR leagues.

Bling (1153) – DeAngelo Hall has been declared inactive for the Redskins. Upgrade the Eagles passing game.

Bling (11:54) – Kelvin Hayden is out again for the Colts. With the number of injuries on the Colts defense, you have to like Schaub and company this week.

Bling (12:03) – An odd comment from Adam Schefter.

Something tells me we’re going to get a longer-than-usual look at Eagles QB Michael Vick today.

Bling (12:06) – Seeing reports that the Eagles are expected to be without Westbrook through Week 13.

Bling (12:12) – Bill Cowher is usually on everybody’s shortlist, but has stated he has not talked to any teams.

Bling (12:14) – Adrian Peterson owners can take a deep breath as reports are that he will start this week.

Bling (12:32) – Obviously we won’t know for sure for a while with the late start, but it doesn’t appear as if Warner is going to pull a Roethlisberger. Expect Warner to play.

Bling (12:36) – We mentioned Holmgren a couple of minutes ago on the air. Chris Mortensen has more.

So what I’m hearing is Seattle would be down Holmgren’s list for Prez/GM job. New mountain to club – think SF, TB, Cleve…’Skins longshot

Bling (12:43) – Getting reports from Chris Mortensen that Kurt Warner woke up with symptoms and it is looking like Matt Leinart will start. This whole situation is up in the air and is best to avoid if you can.

Bling (12:46) – Adam Schefter seconding Mortensen that Warner is likely to be a scratch.

Bling (12:59) – That is it for today. Good luck in all your games, unless you play us.

Hit refresh for more updates.
