Check out Risk Management for some situations to avoid or take advantage of.

Bling  (10:42) – If I’m leaving early, I might as well start early. Roddy White will play this week. He was listed as questionable. The Giants defense has struggled of late, but are coming off a bye and will be getting Aaron Ross back.

Bling (10:44) – Albert Haynesworth will be a game time decision for the Redskins. Give the Cowboy running backs a boost if he doesn’t start and OC Jason Garrett actually decides to use them.

Bling (10:45) – According to the Denver Post Chris Simms will be starting for the Broncos today barring an ‘overnight miracle’. Not liking my Denver pick now. Downgrade all Denver skill players.

Bling (10:46) – Reports are that Mike Holmgren is interested in a job with the Browns because he hates himself.

Bling (10:48) – Reggie Bush and Lance Moore are both out for the Saints. Give a bump in value to both Pierre Thomas and Devery Henderson. If you are in a league that counts return yards, look for Henderson to return punts for the team today.

Bling (1050) – Ryan Moats will play this week, but he won’t be starting. What kind of split the Texans use is still in questions, but Slaton gets a solid boost in value with this news.

Bling (10:52) – Sedrick Ellis is out again for the Saints. The team has really struggled against the run since losing him in the line-up. I still like Caddy as a decent flex play this week.

Bling (10:59) – Brett Favre is bad for military morale.

According to a military official, detainees at a Wisconsin National Guard camp in Iraq are using Brett Favre as a manner of getting at the guard troops there.

Bling (11:03) – No surprise, but Michael Turner is reported out this week. Jerious Norwood look for a healthy does of Jason Snelling and some Aaron Stecker

Bling (11:05) – A Buffalo TV station is reporting that the Bills approached Gruden about replacing Dick Jauron. Gruden turned them down because unlike Mike Holmgren, Gruden doesn’t hate himself.

Bling (11:12) – The Bills will be without Marcus Stroud this week. The Bills have been one of the worst team’s defending against the running back position, this doesn’t help.

Bling (11:14) – Bud Adams seeks closure with Buffalo.

Adams took out a full-page color advertisement in The News amid the controversy that followed his obscene gestures in Nashville

Bling (11:16) – Adam Schefter reporting that Ravens Terrell Suggs and Steelers Troy Polamalu will both miss about a month. Somewhere Adam Conn weeps.

Bling (11:19) – Darren Sharper returns for the Saints this week. The Saints defense has been a bit shaky of late, but against the Bucs are a solid start. Malcom Jenkins will get his first start of the year for the Saints as well.

Bling (11:24) – Adam Schefter reporting that Albert Haynesworth will not start for the Redskins today.

Bling (11:31) – Carlos Rogers has been replaced by Fred Smoot today in Washington. I didn’t see any injury notes on Rogers this week so this might be a Rogers in the dog house situation unless there was a late injury.

Bling (11:33) – Jerome Harrison will be inactive today for the Browns. You shouldn’t be starting any of the Browns, I’m just reporting the news.

Bling (11:35) – With Benson out, don’t count of LJ to suddenly be a big impact for the Bengals. Chris Mortensen is reporting that LJ is likely to get around eight carries this week.

Bling (11:37) – Making it official, no Norwood for the Falcons today. Snelling should be the starter here.

Bling (11:48) – Antoine Winfield gave it a go during pre-game warm-ups, but is on the inactive list again this week. Give Matt Hasselbeck a bump in value.

Bling (11:50) – Bernard Berrian is active for the Vikings this week, but Sidney Rice is the player to own/start here.

Bling (11:53) – Despite suffering a concussion last week, Joshua Cribbs is active today for the Browns. Talked about Lewis’s value on the podcast minutes ago, with Cribbs playing I think Lewis does take a bit of a value hit.

Bling (11:56) – Haloti Ngata will play today for the Ravens. Their defense has struggled defending the run of late, his return gives it a solid boost. Downgrad Joseph Addai a bit.

Bling (12:07) – Antonio Bryant will start of the Bucs this week. This gives Josh Freeman a solid boost in value, but I still don’t see him as starter worthy.

Bling (12:09) – Pierre Garcon is listed as active for the Colts this week. The Ravens have done well against the pass of late, but mainly due to facing weaker competition. Look at Garcon as a weak No. 3 wide receiver.

Bling (12:15) – Colts CB Kelvin Hayden is out this week for the Colts. Flacco gets a slight bump in value.

Bling (12:18) – Jimmy Johnson agree with me on the 4th and 2 call last week. In short, it was dumb regardless of stats.

Bling (12:21) – For those of you who have been holding on to Anthony Gonzalez, reports are that he is going to give it a go next week.

Bling (12:24) – Ashton Youboty is out this week for the Bills. Small upgrades to Garrard and Sims-Walker, but I look for the Jags to run, run, run and run.

Bling (12:28) – Adam Schefter reporting that the Bills will meet with Mike Shanahan this week. I still have a hard time seeing the Bills getting him, but it is clear that they are making a solid push for it.

Bling (12:37) – I’m out for the weekend. Good luck in all your games, unless you face one of us.

Conn (1:02) – Thank you,  Sir Helbling.
