Ronnie Brown to the IR
Obviously part of the big story this week is the Dolphins placing Ronnie Brown on the IR. Ricky Williams gets an

automatic bump in value and goes from a typical flex option to a weak No. 1 running back. Brown was a top 10 running back prior to his injury in most leagues, but I wouldn’t assign the same value to Williams at this point. The biggest factor is what changes are made to the Dolphins Wildcat offense. Williams will still be involved in the offense, but I look for Pat White to assume Brown’s role in the offense which limits Williams value somewhat. It will also be interesting to see if the number of Wildcat snaps in the team’s offense changes with Brown missing.
Something else to keep an eye on is that Williams hasn’t carried the workload that he is expected to in some time. Granted he hasn’t put that much mileage on his body due to his little vacation from the league and playing second string to Brown, but it is still something to watch down the road.
What do you think? Is Williams now a legit No. 1 RB?
