The Experts Contest: Super Cooper

Michael Cooper, the namesake on the neon sign called “Cooper Sports Radio,” posted the top score in Week Three of the 411fantasy.com’s experts contest.
Russ Bliss (Fantasy Football Starters) and Justin Shamlall (Fantasy Football InDepth) finished tied for second and there was a four-way tie for fourth with Michael Jones of Football Diehards, Jeff Boggis from Fantasy Sports Empires, Jason Sarney of Fantasy Phenoms and Paul Eide (The Football Expert).
Ironically, Cooper and Eide work together on Cooper’s radio show.
The newest entry in the competition, Robin Lundberg and Nick Stevens, finished tied for 11th. The show they co-host, “The Flex Position” can be found in the podcast section here.
Some of the more unique picks that paid off: ESPN’s AJ Mass correctly predicted Jason Campbell would be among the top-5 quarterbacks for the week and Tony Holm had Jerricho Cotchery in his top-5 wide receivers.
However, only one expert – Steve Sheiner of FanBall – had Cotchery and Santana Moss in his top-5 wide receivers.
And, in an important development – defending champion Jonathan Phillips (RotoExperts) had a top-eight finish and made a jump in the overall standings.
Here’s the leaders for Week Three:
In the year-to-date competition, Michael Jones from Football Diehards moved into the lead. Eric Karabell from ESPN is second and there is a three-way tie for third with Adam Conn (411fantasy.com), Cooper and Boggis:
