Dolphins get Thigpen – should you?
No. That’s the short answer.
The longer answer? Chad Henne will start this week, and he has a decent arm – but the Dolphins will remain focused on running the ball. They will continue to use a heavy dose of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams to control the clock.
Having a guy with a strong arm in Henne (or Thigpen) will help them in the two-minute drill, but that’s about it. It doesn’t really matter who is under center – the Dolphins are going to run, run and then pass.
* A possible WR candidate to emerge from the QB change is Davone Bess, who was targeted seven times after Henne entered the game. WR Ted Ginn Jr. remains the No. 1 receiver, but he has just one very good week sandwiched between two lousy weeks. *
