There’s always a tradeoff, a price to pay. And this week, that price is significant.

Here’s my official statement, as it pertains to the site:

“I am pleased that one of our own, Adam Conn, posted the best score in the greatest fantasy football experts contest in the world. He does extensive research every week and it paid off. We know there are many outstanding sites out there and some tremendously talented people that do this for a living, and it’s quite an accomplishment for Adam to be at the top this week. Not only did he have the best score in Week Two, he also has the top score in the season standings – and we couldn’t be more proud of him.”

Here’s the email I am sending to Adam:

“Maybe I’ve set up this contest all wrong. There’s no way you’re better than me at this. I finished ahead of you last year, and I’ll do the same this year. Enjoy this moment, Conn – this is a marathon, not a sprint…and I’m not even warmed up yet.”

Nonetheless, facts is facts is facts and Conn is atop the leader board after two weeks.

Also, 411’s Adam Helbling finished tied for sixth, giving the host site TWO of the top-six for the week. At this point, it’s irrelevant where yours truly finished. Really, let’s just celebrate Conn and Helbling and move on…
