7 Random Thoughts
A couple of random thoughts from Week 2.
1. The NFL really needs to adopt the college rule of stopping the clock to move the chains. No NFL game should end because your fat offensive lineman were too slow to get down the field or because the ref was too slow to set the ball. No I am not a Packers fan.
2. The Browns are really really bad. I get stuck watching them every week due to local coverage and no Direct TV. The Rams are pretty awful as well, but at least with the Rams there are a couple of guys that can hurt you offensively.
3. It was pretty clear that Antwan Odom was having his way against the Packers offensive line yesterday. I can’t figure out why the Packers didn’t shift help that way or at least stop with the seven step drops on every down.
4. I told Adam Conn before the season started that I thought the Titans would head into their bye-week with one to two wins. I am starting to think I gave them too much credit. Of course, I also predicted that this was when Vince Young would take over. I still think that is a possibility.
5. To toot my own horn… I feel pretty good about saying this
Bo Scaife is out for the Titans. Last week, the Titans targeted their TEs 10 times. Crumpler and rookie Jared Cook are there, but I would trust the RBs/WRs to get the dump offs and shorter routes
9 catches from Johnson makes me feel smart…this will last only a short time so let me bask in it. Also you should check out the Sunday Scramble. Each Sunday, starting at least by 11am, we will be giving up to the minute injury reports, advice etc.
6. I can’t remember where I heard it on Sunday, but Matt Birk believes that Adrian Peterson can top 3k in a season. Earlier in the day I found this article, and it all made sense.
7. Considering the success that the Colts have had over the last six year this fact surprised me.
Miami has won four of the past six meetings
I like the Colts tonight.
